MickyB's 2.4 Type-S
Weekend Toy Owned by MickyB

  • Here are a few photos of my 54 reg 2.4 Type-S. Its Arctic Blue Pearl, with 17inch Santino Alloys. Originally it was fitted with Pentas but I managed to get a swap deal with another Accord owner who was trading in his Accord. The only mod as such is the eibach rear camber arms which are adjustable they were fitted about 18 months ago because of rear tyre wear which showed that there was a problem with the standard fit ones. And it has a Honda oem CD autochanger fitted in the boot The current mileage to CJ annoyance is 57981 Yes, true mileage. Well thats about it now lets see if I can get the photos uploaded. 180814 new mod added Heko wind deflectors.

    Modifications & Optional Extras

Blue door lights(look pretty cool). Updated 27/08/16
Blue Type-S steering wheel cover and new mats with matching blue fitted 27/08/16.

  1. I'm impressed! Yours is rather more sporty than my SE 06 Accord on 15" wheels - but my rear tyre wear is very even and I get 40000+ miles use.

I initially had a problem with rear tyre wear but that went when I had the rear adjustable camber arms fitted. Much better and you are able to get any tyre issues resolved. It's more sporty because it's the Type-S.

  2. A change of photographs. I used this one because of the sign on the stand. And this is truly a Great Car.

Why hide true beauty behind those signs? Well, that's my opinion for what it's worth ;-)

Had to let everyone know who we were and they were just sat around doing nothing .
Actually I saw a number of people taking photographs of the car and the club signs so I was well chuffed. Ordinary people know beauty when they see it.

  3. This beauty is stunning, and an absolute credit to you. How did you find it with such a low mileage? The best colour for the 7th Generation by a mile.

I remember taking one exactly like yours for a test drive when they first came out and it left a very lasting impression on me. Sadly the price at the time ended those dreams and I stuck with my 6th Generation for the next 10 years (which was certainly no hardship!). And now I finally have my own 7th Generation, which I love but reality dictates i-ctdi when heart says 2.4!

If you're ever thinking of selling (which I get is unlikely), drop me a line....

Only had 8k or so when I got her at 18 months old, at that time I had 3 cars so she did very little mileage. Now I have 2 the HR-V takes the brunt of the mileage work etc and the Accord does the holiday/weekend journeys. Oh and shows(Japfest 2) will be the next one.

Yes but I'm in the process of getting it overhauled and turning to fibre optic broadband, so once I'm sorted with that I'll post some more up.

  5. I've rated your car now Micky. I have to say Pentas were THE 7th Generation wheel choice... ;-) (only cos that's what I had lol)

You're obviously not lazy on the wheel cleaning front. Pentas the lazy valeter's favourite as they hide all the grime  lol
