Just amazing to see how the door is virtually untouched even with all that carnage at the front . You're right John, it is a great advertisement for the integrity and safety built into the car.

Sorry for not replying sooner Ed I just missed your post for some reason.
Yes all doors opened no problem at all even the front ones felt like nothing had happened. The rear ones stuck out a mm or so further than normal because the shell had warped to distribute the force of the impact away from the passenger shell.
The floor pan after the bulkhead seemed totally intact as well. I can't believe there was no distortion but it certainly wasn't visible.
Measurements may have told a different story however.
Took me awhile but I've worked out where it is, some major crashes there over the years. It's the junction leading to the lap dancing club at Nedderton!
It is a bad junction mate what with the petrol station opposite, the sweeping right hander to the right of it and the dip away from it to the left. Finally they've put street lights on it but that wouldn't make any difference in my case.
Why did you alter the front end??!

Excellent safety features. I sent the pictures off to Honda as I thought it was an excellent advertising opportunity for them...... The only 1st Generation had was a slight red line on my hip where the seatbelt tensioner had pulled the belt in onto the bone. Other than that nothing apart from minor soft tissue injuries in my back.
You cannot prevent this it's the deceleration forces. These are the forces that would kill in older vehicles but the ACE body shell on the 8th Generation distributes these forces around the shell, away from the passenger cell in a controlled fashion to decelerate the vehicle at a rate that is low enough to prevent fatal injuries and minimise minor ones.
