    Follow the severe maintenance schedule if the client's vehicle is driven MAINLY under one or more of the following conditions:


    Driving less than 8 km (5 miles) per trip or, in freezing temperatures, driving less than 16 km (10 miles) per trip.

    Driving in extremely hot over 35 °C (95 °F) conditions.

    Extensive idling, or long periods of stop-and-go driving.

    Driving in mountainous conditions.

    Driving on muddy, dusty, or de-iced roads.

    NOTE: If the vehicle is driven OCCASIONALLY under severe conditions, follow the normal maintenance schedule.



    Service at the indicated distance or time whichever comes first

    Replace engine oil

    When the notice of Engine Oil Monitor is displayed, or 1 year has passed from the last replacement.

    Replace engine oil filter

    When the notice of Engine Oil Monitor is displayed, or 2 years have passed from the last replacement.

    Replace air cleaner element


    Use normal maintenance schedule except in dusty conditions.

    Every 25,000 km (15,500 miles)

    Inspect valve clearance

    Every 40,000 km (25,000 miles)

    Replace fuel filter



    Replace spark plugs


    More than 50 % of driving time above 200 km/h (124 mph), replace the spark plugs every 60,000 km (37,500 miles).

    Every 60,000 km (37,500 miles)

    Inspect idle speed



    Replace engine coolant


    We recommend genuine Honda/Acura All Season Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2.

    At 200,000 km (120,000 miles) or 10 years, thereafter every 100,000 km (60,000 miles) or 5 years

    Inspect fuel system

    Every 30,000 km (18,500 miles) or 3 years

    Replace transmission fluid


    Use Honda/Acura Gear Oil GO Type-2.0.

    Every 30,000 km (18,500 miles)

    Replace clutch fluid (transmission side)


    Use Honda/Acura ATF DW-1.

    Every 30,000 km (18,500 miles)

    Replace twin motor unit fluid


    Use Honda/Acura ATF DW-1.













    Replace Intake Sound Control

    Every 170,000 km (105,500 miles) or 10 years

    Inspect Active Exhaust Valve function


    Check the difference of the exhaust note in quiet and track mode of Integrated Dynamics System.

    Every 100,000 km (62,500 miles)

    Check front and rear brakes

    Check brake pads and disc thickness. Check for damage.

    Check brake calipers for damage, leaks, and tightness.

    Every 10,000 km (6,250 miles) or 6 months

    Replace brake fluid

    Use only Brake Fluid DOT4.
    We recommend genuine Honda/Acura Brake Fluid.

    Check brake fluid level is between upper and lower marks on reservoir.

    Every 3 years

    Replace dust and pollen filter


    Replace the filter if the vehicle is driven primarily in urban areas that have high concentrations of soot in the air, under dusty conditions or the air flow from the heating and cooling system/climate control system becomes less than usual.

    Every 20,000 km (12,500 miles) or 1 year

    Check lights alignment


    Check the position of headlights.













    Test drive (noise, stability, dashboard operation)

    Every 10,000 km (6,250 miles) or 6 months

    Check expiration date for temporary tyre repair kit bottle (if equipped)

    Every year

    Inspect tyre condition


    Check tyre inflation and condition at least once per month.

    Every 5,000 km (3,000 miles) or 6 months

    Visually inspect the following items:

    Check for correct installation and position, check for cracks, deterioration, rust, and leaks.

    Check tightness of screws, nuts, and joints. If necessary, retighten.

    Tie-rod ends, steering gearbox, and boots

    Check boots for damage and leaking grease.

    Suspension components

    Check all dust covers for deterioration and damage.

    Brake hoses and lines (including VSA lines)


    Check master cylinder and VSA modulator-control unit for damage and leakage.













    All fluid levels and condition of fluids

    Check catalytic converter heat shields, exhaust pipe, and muffler for damage, leaks, and tightness.

    Fuel lines and connections

    Retighten loose connections and replace any damaged parts.
