Glove Box Light Replacement

Accord 08-14 [CU1, CU2, CU3,CW,CW2 & CW3]

    This guide was made after a request on this thread Electrical & Lights - Replace glovebox bulb

    First glove box removal
    1 Open the glove box.
    2 Open the front door, and remove the passenger's dashboard side lid (A).
    • Gently pull the rear edge of the lid outward by hand to release the hooks (B).
    • Detach the clips and the hooks (C) by pulling the lid outward.
    • Release the hooks (D, E).
    • If equipped, disconnect the passenger's airbag cut off switch connector (F).

    3 Then remove the dashboard passenger's trim

    A) Remove the passenger's dashboard trim (A).
    • Open the glove box.
    • Pull out on the bottom edge of the trim by hand.
    • Detach the clips along the trim.
    B) Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
    • Push the clips into place securely.

    4 Close the glove box.

    5 Remove the bolts (A) and the screws (B).

    6 Pull the glove box (A) by hand to detach the clips, disconnect the glove box light connector (B) and the trunk lid opener main switch connector (C), then remove the glove box.

    7 Install the glove box in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
    • Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.
    • Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.

    8 Release the glove box damper wire (A), remove the screws and then remove the glove box damper (B).

    9 Install the damper in the reverse order of removal.

    10 Disconnect the 2P connector (A).
    11 Remove the glove box light (B).
    12 Install the light in the reverse order of removal.
