Just had the oil changed from 10w 40 to 0w 30 on my FR-V....

Can't believe the difference!! engine was tapping, now stoppped, sounds and runs much smoother.

Next on the list is to change the spark plugs to NGK iridium, pollen and air filters. Once its back from the body shop, currently having the arches and sills looked at and the bonnet resprayed.

Need to get some pics on here:Grin:

yeah all modern engines can run on low viscosity oils , you will see a jump in fuel efficiency too. Looking forward to see your car after its repairs

Castrol edge 4ltr from Eurocarparts - they had a special offer on. Think it was £32 delivered.

My car is going in on Thursday for it's first service during my ownership as I've now done 6000 miles. I believe it has 5w30 oil in at the moment so will see if I notice any difference. Also getting fuel filter done - genuine Honda.

I'm getting my oil in the 25 litre drum from lubetech around £100 much cheaper than buying castrol etc.

I use Lubetech on lawmower, leaf blower and as a engine oil flusher. I have gone to 0w-20 on both cars to great results in every deaprtment.. I won't try 0w-20 in a diesel thou. :Hooray:
