Hi Everyone! I just bought a 1982 Honda Accord Hondamatic. Shes in great overall condition and has only done 82,000 miles. She needs a good service and a good clean! She's a belter! 20160313_164816.

Thanks! She's pretty good! I reckon 600 pounds spent on the bodywork will make her totally mint!

Excellent. Where did you find her? Dealer, private sale? Any history?

Ebay. The seller had listed her as a VW so I think it went under the radar a bit! I've got all the old MOT's but only partial service history. Seller promised to send more history to me but nothing as yet!

Hi Nels I have been trying but although I can post pics in this thread, I can't upload the same pic into the garage - image too large? Don't know what to do about that!

Hi Nels I've tried but it won't save without an image loaded! I have left it open - no idea if you can access it. If so please copy over the 2 pics I have added further up this thread. Cheers for your help!

Copy this picture onto your PC and then load it on the garage thread. (I've reduced the file size)

    My pleasure. :Hey:

I've taken the low res one out and added in the two from this thread. Hope that's okay with you.

:likeit: Lovely very similar to the USDM '85 Accord I used to have. Would love to find one in as good shape as yours to play with.

I have the other one; on the ebay listing I think the seller said there were only two left in the country, I do expect there are a few more though. Mine is blue manual and also a recent purchase, exceptional condition for the year like yours. The elderly owner unfortunately died last year and apparently his pride and joy. A few little rust patches beginning to appear which I need to get dealt with and your wheels look much better than mine. Mine also needs a good service the last cambelt change I could find was 20 years ago.

I did contact the ebay seller and ask to pass on my contact details to you, not sure if he did, we should keep in touch given the rarity. Also I am coveting your tow bar, if you ever decide to remove it. Failing that a pic underneath to see how its made would be much appreciated so I can get one made. I had a look underneath and couldn't see how it could attached.

Cracking car, although I think I have a fuel pump issue which needs sorting. I'll post a pic up of mine once I figure out how.
