    Hi Chatz.

    Welcome to AOC.

I'm not sure if the 1998 CR-V has a standard OBD port on it. Lets see if someone else can confirm this.

My 2000 Civic didnt have ODB port but you could bridge 2 wires on the diagnostics plug and it would tell you by flashing (blink codes) the management light what the code was.

The guy who suggested that location in thread you mention excel monkey, he had a 2007 CR-V himself. So he maybe thinking its the same with 1998 CR-V.

And further down the thread, the orignal poster (with a '96 CR-V) says "Thanks for the great instructions. Got it."

checked out those areas can't see it just found out that my car was originally fitted with hand controls and there is supposed to be a metal bracket behind dash called a knee bolster which is missing so im thinking it was attatched to that bracket and when converted its been removed and tucked away somewhere will check at weekend
