    Hi guys, can you help?
    I have a '58 reg accord EX, and have a problem. I can open the boot using the key fob button, but cannot open the boot using either the button on the drivers door or using the button on the boot itself. I have checked the two wires going to the button on the boot lid and one is live all the time (which you would expect I suppose) and have checked continuity of the 2 contacts on the button itself and I have continuity when the button is pressed. I have gone to the actuator assy on the lid and there are 3 wires feeding it .
    1 = permanently live
    2 = No power
    3 = No power
    Same with ignition on or off
    Any suggestions please.

    There is a switch in the glove box - it happened to me as well and I didnt realise I had knocked the switch.

    Its a safety feature. Flick the switch and the boot will open. :Thumbup:

    Thank you. I have the 2004 accord. It doesn't have that switch.

    Mine did the same after my local Honda garage did the airbag recall, trouble is, the switch seems a bit loose and sometimes does it on it's own. I see a small piece of tape in it's future.
