Anyone looking to buy the new shape Civic make sure you get the 2013 model and not a 2012 model . After all you want the latest and greatest model.

    New Features

Civic's equipped with headlight washers now have a level sensor and i-MID indicator. ( Long time overdue for some people)

I-DTEC or i-VTEC emblems are no longer fitted to the rear windscreen.

The fuel cut off switch is no longer used. In case of an accident, the SRS control unit will send a signal to the engine control unit which will cut off power to the fuel pump.

Automatic lighting off feature. When parking the car on a non-illuminated place at night, it is possible to leave the parking lights on. All other lights interior and exterior will be switched off by the timer.

Emergency stop signal-When sudden braking is applied while driving at speeds over 30MPH, in addition to brake lamp illumination, the hazard lamps will automatically flash at high speeds to warn the vehicles behind, to reduce chances of a rear-end crash.

On 13 year model it is possible to switch the display between Range, Elapsed time, Average speed and Average fuel without having to select Customize settings.

Front seat rail covers are no longer used as the front passenger side has an inspect hatch for for the hand held fuel primer. A plastic extension in the boot with the emergency fuel filler neck (More in details on another thread)

New engine oil and filter (1.6 diesel only) The new 1.6 diesel engine will use a new engine oil. Compared to the current engine oil used in the 2.2 diesel engines, this oil has a lower viscosity at low temperatures while keeping the same viscosity at high temperatures Honda expects fuel saving by a massive 1%. Engine oil specification not yet revealed.

The 1.6 diesel engine also uses a normal cartridge type oil filter as seen on petrol cars. Honda part number 15400-RZ0-G01.

more information to be revealed as we get it.
