I'm sure another member fitted this 3m stuff. If you can scrape a wall at 8 mph and it does not damage the paint it can't be a bad thing to have.

I would have thought it was applied in the same way as vinyl wraps to be honest and not use a template but we'll see I guess. I just wish my car was new enough to have it fitted:Frown: damn stone chips!

It is applied like a wrap, however, there is no cutting involved - hence why 3M have specific templates so that the film properly fits the car with no need for extensive cutting.

Personally thats made me more confident to have this done - I don't think I would have the courage to let people loose on my car with cutting tools!

It is expensive. But for a reason.

Plus, my new car is also expensive, so I want to protect it wherever possible. Its a reasonable price for what it is in my view.
