Am I right in thinking LUK make the Honda diesel clutch kit?

Anyone know if LUK make the Honda kit for the 7th Generation petrol as well?

Yes, they provide the OE clutches/flywheels.

To build a little on the original topic, Exedy supply the petrol K20 and K24 clutches for the 7th Generation.

Unfortunately for the I-CDTI the replacement parts aren't cheap, will you be installing it yourself? There's pretty specific requirements for alignment which can be a bugger without the right tool.

Will have to get a mechanic to fit it, but will do my homework to get the right mechanic who knows their stuff and has the alignment tool.

They want the genuine alignment tool bud, @hondavtecr would be a good independent to recommend in Manchester at Phoenix Close Honda Specialists.

Im in Northern Ireland, car has 161k miles on original clutch, no judders and good biting point on pedal. Problem is clutch is slipping when putting the throttle down to floor so needs sorted.

I couldn't advise on the best place in NI, but I do know some members who have been driving on a slipping clutch for 30,000+ miles

The card only slips with high throttle demand. It will.still drive fast on motorway, can go up hills etc, just can't use the full acceleration. Can still get reasonable take off, but preparing for the repair bill thats coming. Will avoid clutch slip with lighter foot lol

Mine was intermittent for just over 2yrs before I got mine done. Sometimes it wouldn't slip for months then do it just once. Although mine seemed to slip more under hard acceleration in 5th and 6th on motorways but it was ok if you eased off the throttle ever so slightly.

Thats exactly what mine is doing, intermittent slip, which I just don't understand. I always thought when a slipped it would always slip, but that rule doesn't appear to be right for accord diesels lol

Can the DMF cause clutch slip if its worn ?

I looked at my clutch when it came out is wasn't down to the rivets I think ichiban said it was the pressure plate that was getting weak and that's why they slip if it was down to the rivets it would slip all the time.

I priced labor for fitting clutch and DMF, not as bad as I thought, £200 from my trusted mechanic, I just need to source parts now.
