I might be lowering my car in the future but got no idea what to look for.I know there was A-spec suspension option for 7th Generation which gives you nice drop. Will there be option for 8th Generation or should i go for some coilovers? Not many 8th Generation owners that have done this so will wait for some feedback and then decide.Any suggestions or ideas? Please fire away.

The 8th Generation CU2 has three options at the moment with Mugen , Honda Access Sports suspension & Tein. All three are complete struts and springs and replace the current struts. Mugen and the Honda Access are not adjustable suspensions with fixed ride heights, where the Tein are completely adjustable to the taste of the driver and road set-up.
    Mugen

    50000-XLL-K0S0.
According to the Mugen European site there is a kit for the CU2 part number 50000-XLL-K0S0 which according the July 2011 price list retails for £1,120.00. Mugen state this kit will lower the car to 20MM which I suspect are with 18 inch wheels. For the complete list of Mugen accessories I found the same suspension sold cheaper at nengun.com so shop around with the yen being strong expect to find varying prices from different vendors.
    Honda Access Sports Suspension

According to HACE this suspension kit will lower the car to 12MM the least drop of the all three kits mentioned here. Honda have gone conservative route , just to minimise damaging the undercarriage and to take in account if the owner has fitted their body kits . Its HACE approach to give the customer a sporty feel but not give the sport stance. if you looking for the dropped look this suspension won't cut it. This kit being a sport suspension and Honda being the perfectionist this kit come with all new flange nuts and bolts and locking nuts. Honda Part Number for Manual gear box 08W60-TL0-6000

    Tein
    Super Street Damper for CU2

    Tein Super Street Damper.

These struts will give that extra bespoke ride height you looking for the stance and the damping are excellent . Tein UK don't stock these struts however in the Tein US has a fitments for the TSX CU2 you can get them easily, best speaking to Tein UK if they can confirm the compatibility between the UKDM and the US spec TSX before buying the US strut.

    Top Tip
Before you start take ride height of all four corners on a level surface, take your reading from the top of the wheel arch to the centre of the wheel hub.If you are going to install any these suspension kit it is VERY important to get all suspension bolts and nuts tightened loosely when the new kit is installed , then raise the one side at a time with a jack so it takes the cars weight. Alternatively if you have access to a four post lift and can fully laden the car with four passengers and then tighten the bolt to the recommended torque settings .If the bolts and nuts are tightened securely without application of the vehicle weight, the strain of the rubber bushings will not be relieved, uneven tire wear will be caused, and the vehicle height may not be lowered.

Then take the ride height measurements and check if the new ride height on the static dampers is even all round & same is applicable with the Tien suspension. Make sure you get the car wheel alignment checked after the install and make sure cars with factory fitted with HID headlight are realigned. A initial position procedure is performed to get used to the new ride height and you ensures you don't daze oncoming traffic.

    Lastly cars with LKAS system
Since the LKAS system relies on the camera for its guidance the camera needs to be readjusted with the new ride height measurements. This can only be done at the dealer they have specialised radar and camera aligning kit.

Yes good point there beefy, I have seen a 8th Generation taking a speed humph at 35 mph at a near by Tesco entrance and it nose dived bearing in mind this was a raised hump to deter high speed.Leased cars are driven up kerbs, pavements go through a rally stage and still expect to perform.

If it was their own car it would be driven with some mechanical sympathy..what about the German cars they come at low heights from factory as default.

I contacted Tein UK regarding Super Street Dampers and this is reply I got today.

Sadly Tein UK cannot confirm compatibility between Acura TSX and Accord CU2.Although these cars share same chasis code ,the US product has been developed for US model. They usually differ with those sold in Europe and in Japan,so we cannot always be confident on the fitment or ride quality. What has been confirmed for this car is FLEX SEDAN DSB90-61SS4.List price 940£ plus VAT.This has been tested on CU2 Accord, and also provides much more options as the shell case length is adjustable.FLEX SEDAN can be ordered from Japan and included with our stock order.

    Lowering Springs?

    Hi all,

Own an Accord 2.2 I-DTEC EX GT, has got quite a nice and low stance as it is with the kit, but I think it could do with having a better centre of gravity as the handling is little bit wobbly for my liking - seeing what options there are for improvement and if anyone here has already done so and with what?

I think a subtle drop maybe 10mm or 15mm would be better but wondering... wether I would only required springs to do this or would need dampers or what else?

    Thanks
