    Hi everyone

I have a 99 accord and recently the ABS light came on. I took it to the autospark as I have to have it sorted for my MOT. Thing is he can't find the diagnostic port. I'm a woman who knows nothing about cars so this forum seemed the best place to see if anyone knew where it might be. I did call Honda UK but they said it would take days to get back to me with an answer.

I even called the local Honda dealership and they said they aren't sure as its so old (damn those reliable Hondas that just go and go lol)

    Any advice appreciated
    Siobhan

I believe 6th Generation Accord didn't have a diagnostic port as they were only mandated around 2000s.
This is a contraption that can be used to pull codes however I am sure someone here already knows much more in detail.

Not all prefacelifts came with OBD connector, they had
an old 5 pin (i think), you use pins or something to read them.

Yep it is supposed to be a blue port as shown in the above ETCG video.

Location according to @SpeedyGee in the post Nels mentioned is:

From memory, on the 2000 Accord, it is on the passenger side, along the centre console, near the passengers right foot, there's a little cut out on the carpet that is hiding it.

OR if yours is an earlier model it could be on the left hand side area of the passenger side (where their left foot will be)

The OBD port is on the passenger front side (right side) of car on the center console side.

I can't remember if the legislation required it in 2000 or 2001, but as said its in the passenger footwell as indicated in the pics above. My 2002 has it.
