How do you know when the exhaust assisted heater is working or not,the handbook said it should
work when the temp is below 5c and some noise could be heard from under the bonnet.

My car seems the same at any temp outside,IE Very slow to warm up.

The local Honda Dealer has said this could not be checked via the OBD2 Plugin and to check the sensor
would require removal of front Bumper ??

I am sure that something under the bonnet must show some signs of heat transfer that can be cheched,
any advice on this subject would be most welcome,a very happy Honda new year to all

My CN1 took longer to warm up inside than my CC7. I never managed to compare the time taken with anyone else's I-CTDI, but there was only about 5-10 minutes difference IIRC.
Maybe some other members can let us know how long their I-CTDI's take?

Takes a while to be honest to get really hot but it will blow luke warm after a few minutes, It uses the A/C compressor as a heat pump so if you've no gas in the system it won't work!
