So just given it its first oil change, new filters seals and a shorter aux belt, got it on 0w30 full synthetic now and its a clear improvement.

Good job Ned ! You look like you are well equipped for general maintenance

Keep those oil changes nice an regular (about every 6K miles) and she'll love you to bits.

Yup, going to go for 500 mile service then put her on every 6k. The filters and bits are pretty reasonable from HH so no problem there.

Ok so on closer inspection it turns out that the OEM drop links, unlike the new ones, DO NOT have flats on the ball socket shaft. For this reason I have decided not to attempt to remove mine as the old hex hole will undoubtably not be up to the job of holding the nut removing torque. (I wouldn't recommend anyone else trying either unless you are prepared for alternative methods of removing) I have considered grinding flats onto them but figured it will be easier to cut them out once I have access to the tools I need.

On the upside closer inspection, wheels off, shows that the knocking I am experiencing is definitely the rear D bushes so will continue replacing them this week. Drop links will have to wait.

So got my new D Bushes through today, have a free day but terrible weather. Unfortunately the Accord does not fit in my garage! The solution was my temporary garage.

    Install write up to follow.

I used to use undercover car parking to work on my cars when I didnt have a garage and the weather was poor. (can't use mine anyway at the moment as my mate has his car parked in it whilst he flies around the world - lucky sod) Havent done that for many years now, but back in my younger days......

BTW, nice tool box, I need to get better organised with mine

I have to make do as I am still in my younger days! Only 22 at the moment. (Hope I am not making anyone feel old, if I do I apologise.) I am very much looking forward to owning my own garage! Have to make do with a rental for now.

I never let the weather stop me if I possible! I need dedication to keep my cars on the road on my budget. This "garage" has served me well for a number of other projects too ! :

New D Bushes installed! No more knocking! Starting to really love this car, every bit that gets fixed makes it all the better.

What can I say, I like cars . As an engineer and a car lover I can't stand knowing somethings wrong. The acceleration wobble is quite subtle, doubt most people would notice, but for me it needs sorting out!

Hoping this gets it sorted. Also saves me an annoying CV Gaiter replacement .

Goal of the year is to continue this cars history of never having a single advisory!
