Ask them to leave the Accord plates on it and you can use them at meets to hide your registration number

So while waiting for my camera to be delivered (from Hong Kong) I started on the wiring link for the rear of the DVD unit, which works on the 7th Generation Accord (facelift only).
Parts cost £6 and I'm using Cat 5 cable. I'm going to wire the connection to behind the glove box so the camera can be disconnected without removing the head unit if I have a problem.

Look forward to seeing this installed.

What pins do you need to insert the wires into on that connector ?

" Insert one end of the jumper into slot 6 and the other into slot 7, and then insert ground into slot 2 and video into slot 5. Slots 1, 3 and 4 are left empty."

    It is explained here :
Backup Camera Install - Acura TSX Forum
I followed that link when I built the cable for my camera.

Well thats the camera fitted, not straight forward due to mounting issues (detailed write up to follow once complete) plastic trim had to be cut. Now need a matching LED for other side of number plate.

Sorry about the dirt, went for a very long drive yesterday.

So everytime I've been washing the car I keep noticing little white spots on the paint work, just put it to down to paint chips but I was wrong. It's paint, checked Google Earth and the last owners have a white painted cottage. Phew!

Good to rule out an infectious rash Dr Pommfrit. White spot can be fatal to tropical fish.

    Looks a good job Paul.

You'll never be able to go without a reversing camera now.

Glad you've solved the paint issue. When I had my Arctic Blue 7th Generation I parked on an industrial estate to look at a job. Was only away for 15 minutes max.

When I got back to the car it had a turquoise haze all over it. I hadn't realised at the time but I'd parked down wind of the exhaust vent from a unit that did power coating and their filters must have been dirty or removed and I picked they day they were doing turquoise power coating didn't I?

Fortunately it hadn't stuck as it was just dust and it rained on the way back to the office so it all washed off thankfully.

So first chance of a proper clean, not finished yet as still got HD wax to go on, but someone in the street died so out of respect I've came in while all the family are coming and going. DSC_0392.JPG DSC_0394.JPG DSC_0402.JPG DSC_0409.JPG

Found some nasty touch up paint in places so may try and removed it and start again.
