Electrical & Lights Alarm system

    Does anyone know how to stop the security system from arming if your have taken key out but not locked the car? Thanks in advance

    That looks fantastically simple Speedy! Does it mean the alarm is deactivated unless you manually arm it - and how do you do that?

    Soon after we got the present Mrs C's 2004 Gen 2, i had to change the battery and when I connected up the new one, the alarm kept going off. I researched the problem and went through all sorts of rigmarole but in the end it got sorted - I'm still not sure how. Seemed very complicated at the time. Anyway, what we discovered, through trial and tribulation, was that as long as we only use the remote fob to lock and unlock it, the alarm stays silent. When we tried to use the key in the lock, we had the wailing banshees back again! So we don't use the key ....
