Hi I want to get my alloys refurbished. I need a same day service as I have no spare wheels to put on and can not do without the car. I had a price from a Darby based company to re do my alloys to their existing spec (gray) £360 including re fitting tyres and balance and stuff..

As I need new rubber anyway I thought now might be a good time to sort the scuffs and scabs. No idea what the wheels are but they are the same as on this Accord (one I looked at but didnt buy)
    Accord like mine.
they were not the ones I wanted but I do kinda like them. As I prefer recommendation does anyone have a company they have used they could recommend please??

    Many thanks

There is Pristine Alloy Wheel in Milton Keynes they seem to have a good reputation. I am sure other Northants members could give you a local contact.

Funny to see tires spelled tyres. Idk why in USA its spelled differently but its kind of cool.

We also call aluminium 'alu-min-I-um' not 'alumin-um'. LOL

A friend is Canadian and says Aluminium the "American way" always have go correct him as it's just wrong!

I used the wheelspecialist which is franchised and found the finish brilliant and do same day. CJ had his 1st Generation Accord wheels done and wasn't happen though. That was the Leeds branch.

I have rust lines appearing below the power coat mate.. the prep and workmanship was suspect. I think he does decent jobs on aluminium wheels. IIRC he can't do diamond cut wheels.

    All good stuff

Many thanks for the contacts, Im a bit of a sad git, and like things to be ... well good.. My wheels are not that bad but previous owner was not young! (and his parking not fantastic either) Solicitor who should have retired a few decades ago I recon. Spoke to him re the history of the car, very nice chap from Loughborough so not far away.. Anyone hazard a guess as to what he replaced his Accord with?? Yep a brand spanking new version of the car I bought.. Lucky so and so. I will have them done before the winter but might see if I can pick up a cheap set of 16" stock wheels as these are to nice to run in the salt and when they are sorted I want to keep them that way.

    Cheers again all...

Going off at a bit of a tangent, when my car was in the Honda dealership in Newcraighall, Edinburgh for a service in April, they were selling brand new Honda Storm alloys supplied, balanced, fitted, the lot for £430!

I had GT Sport (I think they were called) alloys which were looking a bit rough and the quotes i was getting to refurb them - given they were diamond cut -were scary.

Very happy with the new wheels.

    Worth thinking about.

If you can get those blade for that price buy , a refurb is a refurb they will never be mint.

    Cheap as chips ...

Now if they would do my wheels for that price I would be in the car and on my way to collect ...

Mine are due a refurb but finding it hard to find a local ish place to do a good job same day as don't have a spare set yet..

Best offer I have had was £380 plus £40 to remove and refit new rubber. At that price you are very close to half decent aftermarket rims new!

Still I like my wheels so will prob end up going to this outfit I have found, when I can get a day away from the rat race..

    Happy days
