Hi all I seem to have a squeeling alternator belt, intermittently squeeling in wet and damp conditions having had a quick look under the bonnet it would appear the belt is a little slack, clear travel with fore finger movement. I can see what looks like a large pivot pin at the top and 2 smaller at the bottom, if i'm right and the 2 at the bottom are for adjustment which of them do i turn?

if it's squealing with little slack that means it adjusted correctly it could be down to the worn rubber belt .any indication when it was changed?

put some fairy liquid ( little) on the belt to see if that silences it for a period of time.

no indication of when it was last changed, but seemed to me like there was too much travel in the belt for correct adjustment but will try the fairy liquid thank you
