Electrical & Lights Ambient Footwell Lighting Improvement

    For those of you who may not know your Accord has ambient footwell lighting, albeit very dim, the EX is blue and probably brighter than that of the ES GT which is red.
    Having looked at the lighting unit which is easily accessible under the trim above each footwell, the light has to go through a plastic cover (mine is blue), this clips off and reveals the LED light which is very small.
    To improve the lighting on mine, all I did was to drill this cover so the LED does not have to pass through it and refit, now I can actually see that I have footwell lighting, but only when its very dark.

    Maybe this in the wrong place, Mods please feel free to move to 8th Generation Section as I can't seem to do it .

    Yup this tip has helped all PFL car owners but on the FL it has a lens cover which spreads the LED light slightly better.

    Maybe something less opaque then would still improve the brightness and spread the light, I will have to experiment further.

    Shame no pics. Need this in my car. The cover is not what gives the colour then and can be removed/drilled? How does this trim come off ...
