nuff said , although the American car sounds amazing. It still lost.
That is mental although yank had a better start.
A Japanese Civic as well if I'm not mistaken - not a Swindon Wagon
Well and truly smoked the Detroit iron though didn't it!
Just see how long the fourth gear was it was there he killed the worthy opponent. Just superb driving hitting all the gears at the right time.. The car is nothing without the driver.
Toretto would be pissed.
The Civic never gets good starts but it kills everyone on top gear
It's all about top end not torque..
The problem is the yank didn't do a wheelie at the beginning.
There comes a point when modifying to this extent that the badge the car came out the factory with becomes irrelevant. In these cases it was several years ago.
That being said the Civic did a good job to drive round the other car when it got such a good get away.
A serious comment this time
Does anyone know what they did to it?
Obviously there must be a nitrous kit and major changes to the suspension involved but it would be interesting to see what's actually involved to accomplish that.
Anyone know the specs? Forgive me for being cynical but how much is it still Honda?
You will be surprised there is quite a lot the head, the block and the gearbox housing are all stock but all the internals are custom made.
Look at the gear shifter its stock .. no dog shift gearbox.
People just underestimate how good Honda engineering really is
Just found this article from Nov 2012. "The engine block, cylinder head, and crankshaft all remain factory-issue"
1992 Honda Civic CX - Honda Tuning Magazine
also says Whoever from Honda designed its B series some 25 years ago should be proud.
