198,247 miles 10 years old not a single advisory and passed smoke test on first attempt needless to say I'm a happy bunny and I just took it for test nothing to be done to it beforehand either.

Awesome! I think for a car to be endlessly reliable it has to have a caring owner like you so credit goes to you. :Hooray:

For those that think the CTDi engine is unreliable clrealy hasnt spent time in a well kept one.

Excellent work, well done, my engine is barely run in in comparison to yours.

I have to say I had my reservations about buying one before I bought mine and all I do is regularly service it and it's pretty much always on supermarket fuel too!

Congratulations especially since you have done 130k more than me after 10 years. Have you had any MOT failures in 10 years? Mine has passed every time so far.

Passed every time thankfully I do get it checked over before every test but nothing's ever been needed that I didn't already know about such as anti roll bar bushes etc

I've never had engine-related MOT problems, but worn suspension parts have been an issue the last couple of times.

@Zebster I've replaced front shockers, front anti roll bar links, rear anti roll bar links and rear anti roll bar rubbers in the time I've had it can't complain really all fairly cheap to buy parts too. Never had an advisory or fail either

I reckon that you're very lucky to have not had wear problems with the front upper control arms and the front suspension compliance bushes!

Yeah they always play on my mind I'm wondering if they'd already been replaced when I got the car it had 134k on it so there's a chance they might have been done.
