My exterior b pillar trim is loosing its colour. Any ideas how easy this is to remove / replace? It's the panels between the front and rear windows.

Post a picture and highlight the area so we all are on the same page and we don't go on different tangents.

These 2 bits - i think its a nightmare job, where you have to remove the chrome, then the chrome bends and you have to replace that too!

They are plastic sheets which are stretched on mate the entire outer molding comes off then you have the heat and stretch it without getting an bubbles then when you put the outer molding they have a habit of tugging the corners and ripping it .. they are royal PIA.

I would put a aftermarket carbon fiber wrap over it stops this entire messing about.

Thanks for coming back to me.

I had a look on Lings for the part numbers found these

Confused me as these seemed to be replacement panels that are available, and it doesn't mention anything else that needs to be added to them?

Before you make a right mess why not try "BACK TO BLACK" on them?

yeah, I've tried some trim restore stuff, and it works for a few days , but then rubs off again. There is some stuff i got my eye on, so i think i'll try that first and see how it goes. don't really wanna strip them down

G|Techniq C4 Permanent Trim Restorer - one of these nano coating type products, very small tub, and area has to be squeaky clean, but seems to get rave reviews
