Hi one of my rear bulbs have gone and first of all not sure what bulb I need and secondly wondering if should replace with Led as all my other bulbs are?

Are either of the above ok?

P21/5W seems right, but I don't think I ever needed to replace them on my 7th Generation, or any of my Hondas for that matter.

I considered the LED brake lights for my 8th Generation, but decided not to in the end.
I too would be interested to have some feedback from anyone that has used them.

I didn't for the brake LEDs as I wasn't convinced about how well they function.
i.e. If there really is sufficient difference in illumination between the 5W, and the 21W brake brightness.

Right it was actually the tail light rather than a brake bulb that had gone as just had a look and luckily was just the same type as use for sidelights and had led ones of those but think might replace the others in the end ;-)

Will take some better shots at night

P21/5W is correct for the brakes.

I've changed all of those 501's on the 8th Generation. Never did it on the 7th.

Those look like the original bulbs fitted when she was made.
    You need push in (7440, W21W, 955)
The LED picture is of the offset bayonet type.

If the car was originally fitted with standard incandescent bulbs is there a problem with the bulb-out warning appearing as the LED one doesn't draw sufficient current to tell the car it's operating correctly. This was a problem on my previous Yeti where it was necessary to either fit a resistor or use a special LED bulb or the "bulb out" sign appeared on the dashboard as the CANbus couldn't "see" the LED bulb.

7th and 8th Generation Accords don't have CANbus, so as long as you install the LED the right way round, they will be fine.
I only changed the front sidelights, number plate and all interior ones for LEDs.

I assume CR-V's are the same, but cannot confirm this for certain.

Thanks for that - it was just out of interest really as I'm happy with the OEM bulbs (apart from the headlamps which I've changed for Nightbreakers, main and dipped). It would be interesting to find out if the CR-V has the CANbus system though. It might be worth asking on the CR-V forum.

Diodedynamics USA has some great quality LEDs. I've bought from them a few. They are doing quality bulbs with quality materials and generally paying attention to all quality and durability.
If I were you I would order all bulbs from them.
I've just ordered all interiour LEDs.
But in the future I'm thinking to replace all exterior ones with LEDs from them. Tough they are not cheap, especially the exterior ones.

@Nels will these be ok n do you think might work in both? I might just buy a pair for the break lights and try them in the reverse and fog and see if work?

IIRC, brake and fog are 21W, but reversing is 16W

Did you search for Acura TSX?
They have LEDs for taillight, front and rear turn lights, side markers, backup, fogs, ...

Will that mean my reverse light will be brighter or not work?

Not sure about your search  I just looked over to their website one more time and those LEDs I've told you in the previous post are there, and you can add them to the shopping basket.
Maybe the advanced search is not working properly or try to use a PC ... I did not use any advanced search just click o Acura logo and choose TSX, thats'it

Yeah ok searching led bulbs for the correct model only brings up one item but then I go on the individual categories there are more options lol. Not sure on the yank terminology but guess need the following? Certainly ain't cheap tho for sure.
