Does anyone know what kind of cable or adaptor i need to use the aux on my 6th Generation radio. There is nothing about it in the manual. I guess there must be a port for a cd changer but does anyone know what kind of adaptor i need to turn it into a mini jack?

    Cheers

    Matt

Looks the same as the one available for Jazz etc. Should do the job. Btw there is another version of this on eBay with usb as well for around £23 when I was looking.

Jazz has an integrated port but I believe the cd changer port is similar to yours. Let me find the photo.

Here is a guide I did for my install. You can see the green changer port in the photos: Headunit Removal and Putting in AUX from FL in PFL Jazz GD

And here is another guide on how to make a custom cable if you don't have the OEM aux (Facelift Jazz came with one)
Wiring AUX in Honda Jazz GD using DIY 3.5mm AUX cable

I don't know if these apply to yours but if your stereo has aux and a cd changer port, one of these kits off eBay should work

I haven't got one yet, been flat out. Here's a pic of my radio (type b). If anyone knows of a cable, connector or adaptor that will work that would be amazing 20160815_185022.

And finally, is there a guide as to how to get to the connector? Will i need to remove the radio? I had a crack at it yesterday but couldn't get it out. I took most of the dash off but no joy

You can use the cd port and buy a cable like this.

Ok, a tup to remove the centre consol with manual heater controls (there is a guide somewhere on here for that)

Each side of the dashboard in the footwells there is a cable that connects to the heater control flaps. Each has a hoop on it which easily slides off, and is clipped into place on each side of the box, give them a sharp tug and they will undo. You can now easily remove the heater control panel, by withdrawing it out of the dash, complete with stereo.

Ok. Doesn't sound too bad. I've ordered a different cable. I'll report back when/if i get it in. I'll try and get photographic evidence for anyone else who wants to put an aux cable in
