Just come back from a camping holiday was running a mini cooler and the battery ran down low. Had the car jump started only then to find the tailgate jammed and the warning light lit up on the dashboard. Got home removed BOTH battery terminals for 5 MINUTES then re-connected and now everything is working just fine opens and power up's and down. Hope this helps guys (capitalsoul)

Hi and Welcome to AOC , yup the battery disconnect resets the tailgate ECU restoring the tailgate operation.

Hi, glad it's fixed and welcome to the club!

Disconnecting only one of the battery terminals would have done the job just as well... I suggest the negative (-) one, as you don't then have the risk of shorting to earth via your spanner (and making a whole load of sparks).
