I was looking on google at brakes for the CL9 / tsx and came across an interesting upgrade.
Acura RL calipers with a machined bracket and 350z discs.

Actually looked very easy to do and they were nice big callipers too, I wonder what that setup would perform like?

    The caliper, looks sweet!

The brackets, these are a little different to the ones from a company called fastbrakes, but you get the idea.

350Z disc size is either 322mm or 324mm according to my quick google. You probably won't be able to fit 17" wheels on that. 18" wheels may clear it.

Acura RL is just a twin pot caliper an easier swap would be to go for 8th Generation Accord 2.4 discs (320mm) and calipers. Some 17" wheels will fit that depending on ET, others would fit but need spacers.

    Isn't the 8th generation caliper a single piston ?
I've thought the RL caliper is 4 pistons?

8th Generation 2.4 calipers are twin pots on 320mm discs

Ah yes, sorry early morning surfing whilst not quite fully being awake.

Is that bracket purchasable or does it need fabbing ?

    I'll look into this further.

Are you positive the calipers for 8th generation Accord are dual pistons (I've thought there are single piston) ?

Any idea if it fits the OEM 17x7 ET 55 Honda wheels?

    They are dual pistons

IIRC Ichiban said they will fit 17 inch wheels.

Mind you if you went the Acura RL route, that would be one unique mod in the UK !

So the CU2 Accord has 320 mm front and 280 rears (both bigger than what CL9 has) so it will worth swapping both front and rears in order to keep the bias front:rear (old vs new setup).
As I'm aware the CU2 has 17x7.5 wheels os opposed to CL9 which has 17x7 , so the remaining question is if they will fit the 17x7 ?

If they don't then you will need to space the wheel out.

I think the acura calipers look more the part than the 8th generation ones.

    4 pots should stop well.

Something else I want to do now!
    Need to win the lottery!
