Does anyone know what time of grease is used or should go on the bonnet latch bit, the part where the latch goes into. Mine is looking rather grubby, so would like to clean it and re-grease.

Ty @Ichiban, I had similar problem but forgot about it till @exec thread. Mine was filled with leaves which I cleared and "fixed" with WD40.

    Should be enough "

If you want to give the latch a good clean before applying new grease, you can use air intake cleaner - just eats through the grease like mad to the point where it will drip off (watch your driveway) and will leave it lovely and clean for a fresh application of grease.
