    Hi all,

Due to collect new ( to us) CR-V cdti ES 2009 on Thursday this week.No experirnce at all of Honda but have read good reports and have taken plunge as we need a 4x4 in tha family.
So might be asking some questions since I am pretty hopeless mechanically if you guys don't mind.

Welcome to Honda ownership, take it its a gen. 3 . I'm sure you'll have many years of trouble free motoring. I just hope you don't need a serious 4x4 ? Although capable its no landrover but at least it'll spend more time on the road !

won't be asking any serious ' off the road' questions ' of her...at least not intentionally!
Purely and simply on road stuff for peace of mind when we get a dollop of snow.

Sounds like the perfect choice of vehicle peter. There's some fun videos on utube of the 1st Generation. ( my old banger ) in deep mud , snow etc. Without looking it up I haven't a clue where you live but it sounds very rural lol. Keep us all up to date when you pick her up.
    Regards. Stu.

It's fairly rural Stu...but apart from anything else,we both like the higher driving position of this type of vehicle compared to a normal car.
This CR-V replaces our old Freelander so hope all boes ok.

Your local service manager will hate you as he'll hardly see you anymore !
As the joke goes land rovers are great off road but don't spend much time on it lol.

    Welcome to HondaKarma @pjwy :welcome:

    Good choice on the CR-V.

    :congratulations: and :garage:

As the old motor industry joke goes, there are only two man made things visible from space *

    1. The Great Wall of China.
    2. The panel gaps on a Land Rover!

    * actually, it's an urban myth. You can't (so I read) actually see the Great Wall from space...
