    Hello everyone,

I am just wanting some advice and suggestions please. My CL7 is due to have its braking system all renewed. This includes all the discs and pads. Which at the moment the car steering judders when brake and pads are grinding now eeeeeek!

I use the vehicle for normal daily use. This is for commuting to work, some delivery driving work and then driving at weekends.

What discs and pads should I purchase? I do not want something cheap which would be poor quality. Preferably something which would be an all rounder, longevity, reasonable and tough on braking.

All help and suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Phone @Holdcroft Honda and get a price (with Club Discount) for a full set of discs and pads.
This is your benchmark for the best all round good quality parts. (I fully accept that there are other good makes out there but for simplicity, this is the route I take)

When you compare it to the standard aftermarket products you can then decide on what quality you want and what price you want to spend.

IMHO, unless you're intending to go racing around on a track, original Honda parts are by far the best.

FAQ #1: How do I contact Holdcroft Honda?

@Holdcroft Honda don't have a website for parts. Call them up. they will tell you how much they are.

For 7th Generation I'd have a look at Brembos if not going for OEM.

EBC was the make I posted about
Front disks lasted 12 months and fitted green stuff pads.
Also lots of frightening brake fade.
Stick with genuine is my advice

I went for Ferodos for my 7th Generation. Never ever had an issue, discs have now covered approximately 60k, and is on its second set of pads all round. Got Brembos on the wifes car, and it creates a heck of amount of brake dust. I would personally go for Ferodos myself if I was to change them on the Accord again. Always been a huge Ferodo fan.

    Thanks for all your comments.

This may sound a silly question but are Holdcroft Honda, actually Honda main dealers? I did call them up and was really impressed with the price. I asked what brand would be displayed on the parts, he said it would be plain but be genuine and in Honda packaging?

But one thing I did not get was, when I have called where else, I always get the question asked about what braking system it is, Aquibano or Lucas and size of dics. As my understanding Honda made to sets for these Vehicles. But Holdcroft did not ask me this and never asked for my reg, hence I am really confused now.
