Honda Accord Tourer 2005, I've a squeaking brake pedal which started pretty recently and is slowly driving me nuts, I've had a go at giving the accessible parts of the brake in the footwell a scoosh with WD40 but this has made no difference, does anyone know what the solution for this might be?

It's unusual to have a squeaking brake pedal, although squeaking clutch pedal is not unusual.

Don't use wd40 as it will dry out rubbers and make things worse.

I'm not sure that u can get to the brake cylinder push rod to grease with a silicon based grease but I don't think you can get to that part with removing the brake master cylinder.

How are you getting on with this @Sherbet66 ?

Well, I don't really have the resources to have the brake assembly stripped to identify this fault so i guess I'll have to put up with this for now, thanks.
