    Dear Accords users -

I have just broken my Right front half axle, Upper side at a wheel joint.
I wonder what do you guys suggest me i should do.

I am looking over Parts Catalogue number and I don't know exactly if it is:
    44500-SDA-A00
    or
    44305-SEA-N00

Any aftermarket suggestions I should look into?

    thanks

Just out of interest how on earth did it break, is it down to corrosion or abuse LOL ;-)

I was wondering that too. I wonder if it's due to the colder environment ? Normally there is balancing rubber around the area of the snapped, so perhaps that rubber has trapped water/ICE and caused the corrosion.

    Thanks for replies.
It just snapped when i tried to pull harder (accelerate) from a stop.
    It snapped immediately.
In my opinion it was due to all reasons: very good tarmac (tyre grip), some rust under rubber and poor driveshaft quality (OEM). It came to my attention from our original Honda mechanic that many of those axels snapped and broke until today.

    Now for second hand.
Here in Slovenia market for second hand part is very small. I just phoned every mechanic, dealer and car junk yard and could not locate any.

Do you guys in UK have or can locate any of those second hand shafts? I would be so thankful. Part number is correct. 44305-SEA-N00

    Ebay currently doesn't sell any.

If you search ebay for "breaking accord" you can see people breaking whole cars, contact them to see if they can send you the shaft.

    Original piece is 517Eur.
After long research day i found one new aftermarket piece shipped from Poland for 155Eur altogether.
I called at least ten 2nd hand dealers from UK and they all have told me the same: already sold! :
I guess drive shafts are hot stuff - rare & hard to get also in UK.

I will report how Aftermarket will fit
