    hi
I have just bought a 2009 2.2 ICTDI ES GT Honda Accord, can you tell me if this has a cam belt or a chain, if it has the belt can you tell me when it should be changed.
    Many thanks

    Hi and welcome to AOC
It is chain driven and maintenance free.

Welcome to AOC Ian the timing chain issue has not affected the I-DTEC yet, with regular and frequently oil changes and the correct grade will keep your engine bombproof.

Just search for this information on here or just ask. :Hey:

Hi Ian, welcome to AOC. As stated, regular servicing with the correct grade (of DPF compliant) oil is essential.
As long as this is done, you've got nothing to worry about, the I-DTEC engine is about as reliable as diesel engines get.
