Given what it says in this article (see below) why is there no global platform for the accord or is there and if so why not bring it to Europe - just a thought !

Honda hints at sporty Civic hatchback - LittleHonda.com

Unlike the current Civic hatchback, the new car will be built on a global platform, which will allow it to be exported to the U.S. from Honda’s factory in Swindon, England.

I even like the name of Civic X rather than an R. That looks much better than the current Type-R which the more I see them, the more I think how ugly it is. This looks lovely

Underneath where it is printed Type-R on the Civic X it looks like a stabiliser wing like on the euro typhoon fighter jet ! LOL

Its the central fog light - like an F1 car.

Looks an amazing thing, lets hope its not just a concept drawing which will never see the light of day

Unfortunately we will never get the coupe or saloon version.

    I love this advert:

^ Yep it looks awkward too, kinda like it was meant to be a saloon and they added a hatch to it as afterthought, but hopefully it will look better in the flesh, they need to restyle those mesh bits on the bumpers, looks way OTT and really messy. I like the lower part of the bumper, the bit above is unncessary.

This could be the US Si or Type-S as those bumpers are way too aggressive and fussy for regular model. fingers crossed

Let's hope so, even on a Type-R I would hate those, way too fussy design.

Something interest to note is that the car is 130mm longer than the outgoing model, which is a significant amount, i wonder if this means they have gone back to independent suspension.
