    That is impressive - missus have the patience of a saint.

    I remember when I bought my son a scaletrix set a couple of years ago, I only thought it was responsible for my mate and I to test it for around 2 hours to make sure it wasnt going to catch on fire. I was only trying to be a responsible father - honestly.

    I "remember" hearing, many years ago, of a party where there was a big Scalextric set up. There was a "Le Mans" start that involved running from the upstairs to the downstairs of the house to grab a controller and start the race...

    ...and half a dozen chaps running down at the same time led to a partial collapse of the stairs...:Whistle:

    Anyone remember Triang Minic Motorways? A miniaturised (roughly HO scale) Scalextric for table top running, that also came with junctions, lay-bys, roundabouts, pavements etc.

    I have a large set but I would need a big floor to run this one, especially if I add the Hornby railway set to make use of the level crossings, road/rail junctions etc.
