This is a simple how to bleed and change the brake fluid on the FR-V clutch hydraulic system. it an overview rather than a step by step.

    • Run the bleed pipe to the clutch slave cylinder.
    • Remove the dust cover off the bleed nipple and keep it aside.
    • Attach a hose to the bleeder screw (A), and suspended the hose in a container of brake fluid.
    • Make sure there is an adequate supply of fluid at the clutch master cylinder take the cap off the reservoir bottle, then loosen the bleed nipple ever so slightly.
    • Then with a help of another person slowly pump the clutch pedal, whilst you gently pour fresh brake fluid until no more bubbles appear at the bleeder hose.
    • Tighten the bleed screw to 8 N·m (0.8 kgf·m, 6 lbf·ft); do not over tighten it.
    • Refill the clutch master cylinder with fluid when done to the top level.

Always use only Genuine Honda DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid.
