but when you climb over 5000rpm the yellow motormanagement will light up.
can someone tell me what it is and how to solve it

    thanx already

Is this the B16? Is the car spluttering over 5k or still pulling fine? Is the oil pressure low? or VTEC solenoid not functioning properly etc

This is an older modification I believe.

I will be coming on when the VTEC solenoid clicks over - it is purely done as an indicator to the driver that VTEC has in fact kicked in y0

It was very commonplace to do this to ESI and VTI/SIR's about 10 years ago. i can;t for the life of me remember how to do it or revert it back to standard though.

If it was a proper CEL then it would stay on

So yes, I know what it is, I know why it was done, but I can't remember how to undo it.

Does the light go out again when you drop below 5000 RPM? or does it stay on?

    Remove your instrument cluster

On the back, find the bulb for the CEL and see if there are any 3rd party wires added to it.

If there are, chances are it is just a thin wire that will go to your ECU (passenger foot well kick panel) where it will be spliced into the VTEC solenoid trigger wire which after having a quick scan at some diagrams I think is green with a white trace.

Basically, when the VTEC solenoid is told by the ECU to engage, part of that 12v feed is tapped into to cause your CEL to light up.

Boy racer modification, as I say, it was a cool thing to do 10+ years ago.

Just remember diagnosing things like this, keep it simple.

If you have bridged the brown plug by the ECU then the list for your car is as follows

Long blink is 10, short blink is 1, bit like morse code

1 long, 4 short will be 14 = IACV fault

    1 O2A - Oxygen sensor #1
    2 O2B - Oxygen sensor #2
3 MAP - manifold absolute pressure sensor
4 CKP - crank position sensor
5 MAP - manifold absolute pressure sensor
6 ECT - water temperature sensor
7 TPS - throttle position sensor
8 TDC - top dead centre sensor
    9 CYP - cylinder sensor
10 IAT - intake air temperature sensor
12 EGR - exhaust gas recirculation lift valve
13 BARO - atmospheric pressure sensor
14 IAC (EACV) - idle air control valve
    15 Ignition output signal
    16 Fuel injectors
    17 VSS - speed sensor
19 Automatic transmission lockup control valve
    20 Electrical load detector
    21 VTEC spool solenoid valve
    22 VTEC pressure valve
    23 Knock sensor
    30 Automatic transmission A signal
    31 Automatic transmission B signal
36 traction control found on JDM ECU's

    41 Primary oxygen sensor heater
    43 Fuel supply system
45 Fuel system too rich or lean
48 LAF - lean air fuel sensor
54 CKF - crank fluctuation sensor

and concerning the lamp when you come above the 5000rpm the light burns and keep burning.
after restart it's out untill you again come above 5000rpm.

Okay, in that case bridge the diagnostics plug, count the flashes.

I would guess you will get codes 1 and/or 21
