    What he had was clearly a clean car:
    media (7).
    but then according to him: In recent weeks I hit a deer which caused the damage to the front portions of the car. I also reversed into a low wall smashing my back window and damaging the left rear of the car.

    media (1). media (2). media (3). media (4). media (5). media (6). media.

    OUCH! I mean who does that!!!

    He didnt reverse into a wall, he hit something cylindrical, be that a pole or a tree or whatever. A wall doesnt leave a cylindrical dent like that. It also causes more paint damage.

    I've seen cars hit springboks in Africa which are a bit bigger than deers. They will right a car off. I have seen them collapse car roofs in. He didnt hit a deer. I hit a fox a while ago at work doing well over the speed limit and it didnt cause that level of bumper damage. If that was a deer, which would have been taller than the bottom of his headlight, it would have cracked the headlight too. For that level of damage and depression in a bumper, its been pushed in a fair way. The headlight would have suffered too but it hasnt.

    Is that grass hanging out of the cracks on the bumper?

    agreed.. its a Yank thing anyways.. and looks hideous
    Agreed! It looks like he reversed into a tall pole or something which smashed the rear window as well as bumper and light.. front end looks like he had a disagreement with a wall perhaps? maybe he crashed into a parameter wall and during panic reversed into a pole :Grin: who knows.. all we know is, he ruined a good looking Civic. (only because its red :Wink:

    The wife hates red cars - she won't drive one as she thinks all red cars are cursed and shout "hit me". I told her once that it was nothing to do with the car - that didnt go down too well :Whistle:

    In all fairness though, it is quite a cheap car as it wouldn't cost much to put right. You could probably do it all for £1K.

    It's not the bra itself that winds me up, it's the people who put them on.

    I fully understand putting it on the TVR with chameleon paint job I saw a couple of years ago, but the 11 year old multiple owner Civic above is pointless and more of a supposedly fashion statement. You don't need to protect your bonnet as it's probably got loads of stone chips from where the previous 4 owners didn't fit one!

    Also, the motorway police are more likely (so says urban myth) to pull you over for speeding in a red car. If they are playing 'snooker' they need a red before every other colour. White is safe, as that is four points away...black not so great!

    @Nighthawk

    Some of the small deer - especially young ones - could have done that I'd say. Plenty of them around South Bucks, we had a couple wandering around our village in the Spring.
