Ha ha we have always been Jap lovers in my family but not necessarily Honda as mostly Nissan, Mazda, Toyota, Lexus etc lol. There have been many times that my Mum, Dad, brother and I all have a Jap vehicle at the same time but lately my Mum and brother have let the side down  My Dad and I are strong with the Jap power and my Dad has his Mazda CX7 as his weekend luxury wagon, Toyota Starlet as his daily and work horse, and Kawasaki ZZR 1100cc as his speed machine

Jag looks fresh off the factory, good job, shame they don't look like in that condition forever.

Of course it's the color that makes the Jag stands out, but both are in show condition and shining! I only would like you had added what was done and with the products used. Great...:GoodJob:
    :lol::Rolf:
I am looking forward and will follow that change! :gohonda:

Big fan of the CX-7, was so close to buying one but they didn't put the petrol version (2.3 turbo) in the facelift model

It is very nice indeed as looks nice, very fancy inside, extremely comfy and goes like $#!¥ of a shovel with the now mapped turbo charged 2.3 petrol engine running about 290bhp :mosh:

Good work mate, well done. I do like those Jags (with the exception of the fact that its based on the Ford Mondeo). Shines up nicely.

Had a little drive in the 240 BHP R Sport XE Jag the other day - incredibly quiet on the drive, but had a nice little grumble when you put your foot down too. Best of both worlds although I am still likely to get a Lexus

OK then bare with this may take a while but here goes.....

All products used are Auto Perfection
    Auto Perfection Car Care
    *Apart from*
    Angle Wax H2go
    Autosol
Dodo juice motley blue and metal of honour
    DSC_0580.JPG
    DSC_0581.JPG

Rather than do them individually I will give you my full process then list what each had at the end or will be all night.

Start off by jet washing the whole car thoroughly including in arches to try and remove any grit etc so not to cause scratching while washing.

To wash I use my 'wash' and 'rinse' grit guarded buckets and put some snow foam and Duo wash in the wash bucket and get the lambs wool mit at the ready.

    Screenshot_20160620-181630.
    Screenshot_20160619-205124.
(I would snow foam it properly but I do not have a pressure washer or snow foam gun yet)
Give the bodywork a good sponge bath and rinse off with a garden hose or pressure washer.

Next step is to dry using the Pro edgeless drying towel before any water marks occur.
    DSC_0260.JPG
    Screenshot_20160619-205059.

I then move onto the wheels using my other two buckets and microfiber mit but start by applying the fallout remover and letting it soak in for 5 mins before rinse off with hose.
    Screenshot_20160619-210028.
    DSC_0253.JPG
Once rinsed off I cover them with wheel cleaner which is like acid so I only do one wheel at a time and don't let it soak in for too long before wash it off using snow foam mixed with Duo wash again like on the bodywork.
    DSC_0257.JPG
Rinse them well then dry using a small microfiber towel.
At this point to finish the wheels I wax them also using The Worx wheel wax and finger applicator for protection and extra shine.
    DSC_0418.JPG
The final stage is the tyres and I use the Enhance dressing and tyre applicator.
    DSC_0309.JPG
Next I move onto the windows using the Pro Clear window cleaner and a microfiber clothe and once clean and dry put a lil Angle wax H2go to aid water repellant.
    DSC_0273.JPG
    DSC_0272.JPG
    Screenshot_20160620-192131.
With all the basics done it's time to do some real work on the paintwork starting with clay bar and quick detailer.
    Screenshot_20160619-205956.
    This stuff smells lush
    DSC_0283.JPG
    DSC_0281.JPG
I also use the tar and glue remover for stubborn bits of tar that the clay bar struggles to remove.
    Screenshot_20160619-205556.
    DSC_0284.JPG
Buff off with the pro edgeless buffing towel on each panel using more of the quick detailer for lubrication.
    Screenshot_20160619-204835.
Forgot one of the basics that would have done before the clay bar treatment and that is working on the tail-pipes which I use a combination of autosol and 0000 grade wire wool, dodo juice motley blue and then metal of honour for protection and shine.
    DSC_0614.JPG
    Screenshot_20160620-191929.
    DSC_0620.JPG

    Right back to the paintwork......

If really going to town use the Paint glaze straight after the clay bar and then follow up with the Trio decontaminant, polish and wax with the aid of the pro applicator.
    DSC_0713.JPG
    DSC_0428.JPG
Then for ultra protection I would use the Paint sealant followed by the Show wax that gives an intense shine.
    Screenshot_20160620-204551.
    DSC_0441.JPG
    DSC_0445.JPG
    DSC_0447.JPG
And that's it apart from would also do my engine bay and interior also

I hope this has been an interesting read for you as took time to upload and my eyes now hurt from starring at my phone screen for a few hours

As you can see I am extremely dedicated and love what I do and seeing the result at the end.

So you have an idea of the timescale I spent six hours on my Mum's (the Jag) and five on my Dad's (the Mazda)

Thank you very much for for going into detail, and yes, it shows your commitment to what you're doing! My question to write down the steps you have done and to add the products you've used was not only for myself but also for everyone here who might not be as skilled in car detailing. So yes, it is also an interesting read as we can learn from each other. Plus, it shows now the great deal of work you have done to make those cars shine like this. Thanks again!!

Thanks @jazzway yes it is good to be able to show what it took to get them to that stage and makes me realise why takes so long as so many steps until I'm happy enough to walk away lol  I can easily spend ten hours on my own car the day before a show doing all the above and the same attention to detail on the engine bay and interior also  I hope people are able to learn from me but I am just a novice myself as although have always kept my cars clean only in the last year have I got into detailing and had never used the likes of clay bar, polish or wax before and hope to up my game still and be able to remove swirls and scratches etc but need the proper machinery for that as at the moment is all done by hand. I really want a Nilfish pressure washer with a snow foam gun and a Das Pro to move to the next level and would also like to learn wet sanding for major scratches.

We can shake hands as i also did everything by hand last month. You must have been feeling your arms and shoulders after two cars by hand. We do have a Nilfisk pressure washer and I bought the foam lance at Aliexpress for €17 and that's the exact same as i can buy on detailing shops for € 50 (because MJJC told me they deliver to them ) and the MJJC works perfect! Also i haven't a machine yet but going to do workshop this year before i buy a DAP 900 v3.

Did the snow foam gun you bought separate fit right onto you pressure washer? Would you be able to send me some links or pics of what you have please? Which Nilfisk you go for, how much it cost and how do you rate it?
    - - - Updated - - -
Also I don't know what MJJC is?

I think I myself will get the Das6 pro.

@K24 CL9 GUY Here we go:

MJJC Foam Lance - Small Orders Online Store, Hot Selling foam waterproof, foam sprayer, foam panel and more on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group

This is the store and the manufacturer of those foam lances. The picture below is the one i ordered for our pressure washer. It is even somewhat cheaper when you order via the ipad app of Aliexpress. No postage, but i waited 3,5 weeks for delivery from China to the Netherlands.

    image.

You only have to be sure that you order a foam lance with the right connector for your Nilfisk!! I took a photo of the connector of our Nilfisk and asked MJJC, then they told me exact which one to order. They have foam lances for almost every well known brand pressure washer and the different models.
The Nilfisk pressure washer we bought in April is the C120.6-6 and was €99 in spring sale (normal price about €129). It is a perfect compact PW for around the house and for your car (i also ordered the car nozzle with it). It was delivered with a foam bottle, but those are worthless when you like thick snow foam.

The DAS-6 PRO is as far as i know not available here, but looks a lot like the DAP900.
