    Hi guys

I am considering a switch to a double din head unit when the new Car Play units are released. Planning ahead, I am looking to source a replacement fascia/console for my 8th Generation tourer.

I have found this one that seems to be the right one but does anyone else have any recommendations?

    Any advice welcome please

For the head unit? I shall be watching what comes out of the labs at Alpine and Pioneer I think. I have had Pioneer head units for years and always loved them but curious to see what Alpine throw into the mix.

Sorry not replied to this in ages. Haven't yet taken the plunge as I am waiting to see what Carplay offerings come from Alpine and Pioneer. Pioneer have released Carplay firmware updates for some of their double din units but not sure about Alpine. I do really like the look of the Alpine X800D-U though and like how you can attach reversing cameras, etc. Now that Carplay is fully out there, it hopefully shouldn't be too long before the two companies release dedicated head units.

    Thanks for the link.
How would this fit in the 2008? As the sat Nav is above the vents...
Any thoughts of how I could do this without making the sat nav useless?

Pretty much what I'm trying to figure out. So I can get rid of the crap factory NAV unit & still get the HVAC display information. This bezel is an option for the 2.0 S model accord. So I'm guessing the car keeps the standard HVAC display. For sure this is a problem for those of us with the NAV system.

@Kieren Shepherd you can just hover over (or tap on a mobile device) any acronym/abbreviation that's underlined and it will give you the definition for it

    EK9, TB, WOT etc.

This looks awesome, i'd be very interested if it's a possibility!

I do wonder if it's possible to put a double din in place of the current sat-nav, and somehow bring it forward?

Holy shit pricing for a plastic and 2 pieces of metal...

I saw doble din adapters in ebay or aliexpress (don't remember) for about £30.

Just to clear this up in my head, if i were to use the fascia shown above, would i need to get a new Double Din Head unit capable of dealing with HVAC? Or does it just get moved to another part of the dash?

HVAC is separated form the head units on the 8th Generation so you will be fine.
