Can someone look at the photo a few posts down and tell me what they think the postage status of the item is,

Normally its a flat rate, but some trader can offer a premium fast delivery option for extra.

No postage, collect in person only.

Indeed, so why didn't the person that just bought them see that? should I write it in the description too maybe, it seems every time I sell on ebay with collection only, someone buys it expecting it to be posted :brickwall:

Ebay is littered with idiots unfortunately. You REALLY need to spell it out in the listing in bold and large font.

Earlier I also had someone offer me £30 less than two items were up for, including delivery that I didn't offer, some people

Sorry I didn't see the collection in person. I have all but given up putting collection only on an item for sale. Last month I was selling a surround sound system, very heavy so collection only. 5 requests for sending it and one request from Italy!

Sold some nursery furniture 4 years ago, collection only, but that didn't stop a woman in Essex buying them, paid straight away n said I had to send them. Explained it was collection only but that still didn't put her off. In the end she sent her husband up to collect them, I live in Northumberland.

That's why I was wondering if it was not clear enough, I've now edited my other listings with some bold lettering.

I find very little luck with "for collection" listings, I always just find a courier to pick it up from my house and deliver it wherever

Out of interest who do you use @DeviateDefiant I looked at Hermes the other day when I was asked if I could send my leathers and they weren't too badly priced.

I tend to use Parcel Monkey and pick by price. But I won't use either Hermes or Yodel as I've had far too many lost of damaged packages by both when having bits sent to me. DPD, DHL and UPS are always solid for me, City Link can be hit and miss.

Don't bother with Hermes if the item has value above £100 - they have quite a few crooks working for them.

Secondly - never accept paypal payments if the item is being collected - they are allowed to and will win any non delivery claims.

Just caught up with this Phil.
Your listing is clear. Unfortunately, some people don't actually read them. They glance at them and only see the words they want to.
Consequently, I think it best not to state 'Free' on a 'collection' item.
Have you managed to sell them now?

When I was doing the listing I was unable to un-check the paypal option for some reason

@Nels I decided just to post them to him, I'm just waiting for his postage payment to come through.

When this 'stuff' happens, I think it's best to just move on. Life's too short.
Hope the £'s come through okay.
