LOL .. that was quick @legend-ary !!
Sorry for making you spend money ... but it does look like a comprehensive tool kit at a bargain price !
Im always dubious about buying brands like that due to cutting corners.
Look forward to hearing your thoughts about the set @legend-ary
For your average car enthusiast who only occasionally uses his tools, they'll be fine @Nighthawk
For what its costs it worth a punt for light use. Good find
That's the thing... I don't do enough DIY to run into limitations of tools. I actually bought this mainly because of ease of storage + I think a lot of times I keep delaying doing maintenance or repair work on Jazz cause of lack of tools. Hopefully they won't bend or break like the eBay ones I damaged while replacing my rear wheel bearings. .I will post my thoughts on them as I get to use them.
Well.. first impressions:
The kit comes in nice aluminium trolley style suitcase. It is not the best quality but thats good because the whole set weighs around 14Kg so a heavier suitcase would have made it more difficult to drag about or carry up into the flat if like me you live in a flat.
The case has locking facility (couldn't find the keys yet) and has telescopic handle and wheels so can be dragged about short distances. A major plus.
Opening the case reveals all the tools with 1 tray being held using tabs inside the lid while the rest 3 are in the base. The tabs holding the top tray are weak sauce and one of them is already coming apart so I will probably store the tray on top of the other three.. not a biggie as pulling the tools out will wear the tabs out anyways.
Lets have a look at individual trays:
Combination Spanners, Pliers of Sorts
1/4 & 1/2 Drives and Sockets 4mm-30mm, Knuckles, Extension bars.
Regular Screwdrivers, Precision Screwdrivers, Insulated Screwdrivers, Tester, Hex Bits, Allen Keys, Tyre pressure gauge!?
#4 Bit of DIY tools for the home
Electrical Tape, Measuring tape, Scissors, Glue Gun? Fasteners, Nylon Clamps, Spirit level, Craft knife, Hammer and Crimping Pliers
Didn't get a chance to test anything out but took out the socket set as I already have a Halfords Lifetime gurantee one which has served me well and although visually these look a bit rough/cheap due to brushed finish instead of chrome, the weight of them is quite confidence inspiring. I liked the heft of the 1/2 Drive + 10mm socket... feels much better in hand than the £20 Halfords set I have.
Any questions? Feel free to ask ... I feel like wrenching now
That really is a lot for the money.
that they last the test of time.
Thats a nice comprehensive looking set. Look forward to seeing how they feel to use when you get a chance to do so.
Incidentally, glue gun sticks you can buy by the hundreds off ebay for really little money too
remember to use the current sale25 code to have it for 59.99
Sale25 excludes tools and performance parts. I tried
code looks like it works fine for me unless it hits a stumbling block at the payment... 59.99 at checkout with code accepted for me
Not allowing me...
very! its not allowing me to apply the code even on mobile (different IP) very strange.. I can't let them off the hook time to call them up.

@qc2 help sent you a PM
i thought that they'd tell you that you rightfully couldn't apply the discount and mine was getting through as a glitch!
Haha he didn't contest.. he was like sometimes we have different codes but I told him its the same code that is not working for me but is working for him.. and they said simply return old one and ask your friend to place a new order on your behalf.. which you did very kindly
I will post an update if all goes well.. *fingers crossed*
