    Hi all,

Over the years I have always checked my engine oil when the engine is cold, but wondered whether this was the right thing to do? I'm always as paranoid about putting in too much oil as not having enough...

The Accord handbook doesn't give any pointers as far as I can see.

    Anybody know which is right??

1 litre per 600 miles for a diesel?! That seems a little excessive for 'normal'!

Mine doesn't use a drop.

More applicable to new engines..try owning a CBR1000RR they drink oil as there is no tomorrow.
