After reading your adaptive engineering (3D) printer build I did wonder how you get 70hrs from one day.
Choice of donk also had me scratching my thinking sponge, 'someone with a Honda being able to put up with such a shoddy engine design long enough to put it together' then there's the cost.
Well, with a 999cc 3 pot car engine with over 200 horses (214) and over 65mpg available late this year for under 4k in a crate will make a lot of people think very hard about doing full rebuilds on old engines.
I must have spent nearly that on a BMW M20b25 sort out.
What was wrong with the M20B25 ?
Not a great deal beyond age but with BMW's prices...
ie £3.6? for one injector o ring it all starts adding up. Bores, crank, pistons/rods and head all fine but replaced every other moving part. Still pulleys and a bloomin' sump gasket leak (3rd attempt, please no comments about that.) plus slippy output shaft thats as affective as uk border control at stopping what it should.
Then its just the frilly bits on the front to sort and it'll be finished.
Then no doubt end up on its roof in the kitty litter at Brands
