Got few quick questions about doing the valve clearances.

    1) Does the crankshaft pulley have to be re-torqued as it says in the manual?
    2) Does the nut on the valve have to be torqued down after you have adjusted it?
    3) Can I drive it hard after doing the adjustments or do I have to do a few miles and let it settle in or something?

    Cheers

    1) Pass, not heard of that before, can't see why you need to do that, precaution I guess.

    2) If you go by the book yes it does. For some reason I've never torqued these, I guess it's because the 20Nm or 14Nm specified just doesn't feel like it's enough. So I tend to tighten by feel on these and then recheck the clearance gap to ensure it is still correct.

    3) Bar the usual prerequisite of warming up the engine, drive as hard as you like. There's no settling in period involved.

Cheers Speedy, that is really helpful, the retourqing the crank is probably precaution as you say, although I plan on just using the PS pump thingy to turn the engine over.
