Does the bumper need to come off to change the fog lights or can the car be raised on a ramp and be done that way?

Hoping its the latter, not former!

Wanna give it a go this weekend...

It is the easiest bulb change ever fella, Honda has put a thought process behind it and made it really easy compared to the 7th Generation. All you need to jack up the car safely to get access to the inner fender no need to remove bumper.

    • Remove the three clips and pull down the front section of the inner fender.

    • Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the front fog light.
    • Turn the bulb (B) 45 ° counter clockwise to remove it from the housing.
    • Install a new bulb in the reverse order of removal.

Here you go Saj the step by step does look daunting, once you get into the grove of working its easy.

    1) Remove the front grille cover cover.

    • Remove the front grille cover (A).
    • Remove the clips.
    • Pass both hood edge cushions (B) through the holes in the cover by pulling the rear edge of the cover up, and slide the entire cover rearward to release it from the groove (C) of the front grille (D).
    • Pass the hood latch knob (E) through the hole in the cover.

    Top tip

    • Since your car is LKAS assisted remove the wiring harness from the millimetre radar.
    • Spray WD-40 or any penetrating fluid on these clips to make them pop easily
    • To remove the clips, pry the inner clip up at the edge near the line on its head. Use two flat head screwdrivers at each end and then pry gently. You apply too much force you will break the head.
    • If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.

    2) Remove the bumper
Remove the screws (A) and the clips (B, C, D) securing the front bumper (E).

    Top Tip

    • Spray wd-40 or any penetrating fluid on these clips to make them pop easily
    • To remove the clips, pry the inner clip up at the edge near the line (F) on its head. Use two flat head screwdrivers at each end and then pry.
    • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
    • Have a helper you when removing and installing the front bumper.
    • Take care not to scratch the front bumper and the body have an old carpet or a table to rest the front bumper make sure it fasten down the wind can knock it down.

    3)Front Bumper Corner Removal

    • Pull on the front bumper (A) at the wheel arch areas to release it from the hooks (three places) (B) on the side spacers (C).

    Top Tip
Pull gently not too much force , if you feel resistance there is something you have not removed.

    4) Front Bumper Removal underneath the headlight.

    • With the help of an helper, while pulling both wheel arch portions of the front bumper (A) away from the side spacers (B), release the hooks (C) along the upper beams (D) on both sides by pulling the bumper out.

    Top Tip
You can do away with the requirement for a helper do step three at both ends then step four unhook the bumper from both headlights. With both of your hands on the grill underneath the number plate pull forward gently.

Once it off DON’T pull the bumper off completely if your car has headlight washers remove the pipes from the washers. (Also see step Five ) If your washer bottle is full once these pipes are removed it will leak so have tiny screw or plyer to gently pinch the pipe to avoid spillage.

    5) Disconnect the front fog light connectors

(A), the headlight washer tube (B), and the front corner sensor connector (C) while holding the front bumper (D), then finally remove the complete bumper.

    Top Tip

    • Make sure the front fog light connectors and the front corner sensor connector are plugged in properly, and the headlight washer tube is connected properly.
    • Make sure the front bumper engages the hooks (of both upper beams and side spacers) on each side securely.
    • If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
    • Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.

    Front Fog Light Replacement

    • Remove the three screws, and then remove the front fog light assembly (A) from the front bumper.

    • Remove the three screws, and then remove the front fog light (A) from the bracket (B).
    Front Foglamp Repalcement 2 AOCUK.JPG
    • Install the front fog light in the reverse order of removal.
    • After replacement, adjust the front fog light.

How to Adjust Front fogs lamps ?

    Front Fog Light Adjustment.JPG
The image is self-explanatory; it shows the lamp fitted on the car. To adjust use a Philip head screw driver to adjust the circular adjuster. Only adjust the fog fitted on the car don’t do it on the bench.

If you get stuck bud give me a nudge.

Not on this trip no. It'll be Sept/Oct when I get that. Unfortunately, on this trip, I won't be anywhere near an Acura dealer, let alone a Honda one so won't try and waste time looking to buy it. Gonna have to wait.

I'll PM you this weekend about timing to do the fog light swap mate. Beers on me. :Friends:

don't worry Sir. You are FIRST on my list.

But that will be later on this year - as said, this visit I simply won't have time or be near an Acura dealership I'm afraid.
