Hi guys, I'm new to this.

I just installed auto folding mirrors on my FR-V, so when I double lock the car, the side mirrors fold in and when I unlock the car, the side mirrors unfold.

Module cost under £7 from eBay.
URL removed as per OP request -CJ

I just thought I'd share with the FR-V enthusiast.

If you have and tricks or tips, please share.

If you have basic knowledge in wiring and a multimeter, it won't be hard.

I was going to take pictures while fitting it, but got too excited and just connected it up.

@huk12, , it's customary for new members to introduce themselves in the Introduce Yourself • Honda Karma section. So please head on over and let us know a little bit about yourself and your car:Thumbup:

    Hi,

If you got the same module as me, this is how you would connect it.
You need to take the door card off and locate the wires for the side mirror switch.

You then need to CUT the RED and WHITE wire from the CAR Side mirror switch.
Leave enough room as you will have to join another wire.

Once RED and WHITE wire cut, join the wire as follows:-

Car wire (cut end close to the switch)ToModule Wire
    Red
    ToWhite
    White
    ToGrey
Please see picture below for clarification.

Once the above step is complete, you should now be left with the other end of the RED and WHITE wire (coming from the car harness).

    Join them as follows:-

Car wire (cut end close to the car harness)ToModule Wire
    Red
    To
    Orange
    White
    ToBrown
Please see picture below for clarification.

Once the above steps are complete, we now need to connect to module to the door lock actuator so the mirrors fold and unfold when the car is locked or unlocked.
    unnamed.

Here, we DON'T have to cut the wires in two, Just splice the just to connect the wires to receive the lock and unlock signal. I used crimp connectors instead

    Connect as follows:-

    Car wire (Actuator)ToModule Wire
    Yellow THICK
    ToGreen
    Grey
    ToBlue

Please see picture below for clarification.
    unnamed (1).
    unnamed (2).

Finally the door side is complete and should look like:-
    unnamed (3).
    unnamed (4).
Once the above step is complete, you will now have 3 wires left. The 12v+, ground and ACC.

Wires for the 12v+ and ACC can be found near the fuse box, under the steering wheel.
I just connected the 12v+ to a wire that showed constant 12v (with the car on and off).
The ACC to a wire that comes on when the key is put to accessory position and finally the ground wire which i just connected to a screw that was touching the metal body panel (ensure it is grounded). I check the above with a multi-meter.

Now everything should be working. Test it all before putting everything back on.

If you have any other questions or need me to clarify anything, please ask.

    ENJOY
