Hello all! I'm joining the Honda-cult since I just exchanged our old Fiat Multipla for an FR-V. We needed a newer car with 3+3 seats (we have 4 children and would never consider leaving one of them in the boot / crumble zone). So FR-V it was. To be exact: An 1.8 petrol automatic Executive from 2009.

Aint she a beauty? I am intrigued by the colour, which seems to change with the light - and in the eye of the beholder. Sometimes it's silver, sometimes it's white - but mostly it's (very) light blue-metallic. Not sure, what Honda calls it - actually I couldn't find the colour in any of the catalogues.

We are very pleased with the car - much more refined and comfortable than the Fiat (albeit a bit less direct in the steering and certainly more narrow). I am bit concerned with a "whine" from the gearbox, and the gear oil smelled burnt. But we are having this looked into, since we bought the car with 6 months warranty. It looks brand new, and no apparent rust, although it's almost seven years old. This was the newest we could get, since sadly they stopped making it!

I watched all the reviews and The Danish FR-V Executive is different from the UK model. It has no leather seats or navigation - but electric sunroof is standard. Maybe due to Danish car-taxes (we pay for three cars and get only one...).

What kind of mileage are people getting from this? The onboard-display says 10.6 litres pr. 100 kilometres - which seems even worse than the Multipla, but we use it mainly for short drives in the city.

Look forward to following the forum.

    Cheers,
    Søren, Denmark

Thanks for the warm welcome.
Regarding the colour, I have now googled it some more - and it certainly seems less blue than the "Perseus Aqua Metallic". Some people claim it's actually white. My best bet for the moment is that it is "Fluorite Silver Metallic" - like the one here:

If you look at your VIN pate, there should be a paint code on there. Let us know what the paint code and we will look up the name of the colour
