Engine & Gearbox Hard cluch

    On my 2002 CR-V the cluch is hard to press down compared to my van or most other cars is this right or is my cluch about to pack in

    Hey Ian, heavy pedal can we two things the pressure plate losing it tension or the clutch master cylinder is wearing out. you can try first by flushing the brake fluid in the clutch master cylinder and see if that makes a difference.

    thanks for the reply don't have a clue how to flush the brake fluid in the clutch lol

    Would it be worth greasing the pedal/master cylinder with Molekote. I was amazed at the difference it made to mine. Just a thought.

    went to the garage today he said the clutch is about to go there is probably a few months left in it the price he gave me was £299 for clutch then £228 labour total with vat £548.40 came home first one i phoned same day clutch repair said they can do it for 295 + vat

    its still working it did start squeaking but that was just the spring at the pedal bit of wd40 and its ok

    Good as long as you didn't squirt WD on the clutch master cylinder rod.

    get some pictures up of your car bud,let have a look at it.
