the top 1/3 of my headlight lenses was very hazy. I started with 600 grit wet and dry paper and T-cut then 2000 grit and 2500 grit with water. Finally used Meguiars headlight restore kit. It's a great system. Headlights are now as new

I replaced the sidelight bulbs with LED ones and use them like daytime running lights. Pity they make the dipped beam look very yellow though. Next step will be a HID kit

Looks a good job does that. I need to do something similar to the HR-V.

I had to replace my Accord headlamps last year for this reason as they were beyond repair. Luckily I found some good second hand ones as they're £1500 new.

DA polisher works wonders on headlights too, took around 5 minutes a light.

    Good job on yours @Torquemadder

I'd love a DA polisher. The rest of the car needs a buff but the Meguiars kit was cheaper for now. T-cut and lots of elbow grease will have to do for the paintwork

    Thanks for the guide, David

I skipped the abrasive paper, as I don't have any but got decent results with just T-cut and an electric polisher.

I tried T-cut but mine was in a lot worse state than yours. I'm glad it worked for you tho

I tried toothpaste and it did nothing but my lights were bad. The kit made them clear in seconds

Glad to be of help. Minor update - the haziness is returning but only very slightly. You have to look very closely to see it. I'm happy with that after 6 months. My car sits out in the sun all day (when we get any) while I'm in work. I have enough in the kit to do it again next year if necessary. Also, I fitted an eBay HID kit and the difference is amazing! 300% more light and its bright white. Makes the full beam look very yellow lol

I tried the toothpaste treatment, so good so far.
No fillings and light sensitivity is much better.
